IBS485HV - 3KV Isolated Multi-Port (5) RS485 Repeater with RS232 Converter Port Serial Communications Multiplexer (Baby Spider)

• This auto transmit unit features 5 isolated(3KV) RS485 ports in 2 wire half-duplex communications mode, and 1 RS232 port.

• As a true  repeater, data received on any one port is transmitted to all other ports. Thus each port becomes the the start of an isolated and buffered "star configuration" branch, expanding the network while observing the RS485 loading rules.

• RS485 drivers allow 32 single unit loads at 4000 ft. and data rates up to 115.2 Kbps on each port.

• Galvanic Isolation of 3KV and robust transient suppressors help protect against destructive transients often found in industrial and outdoor environments .

• Transparent to all asynchronous data, with any combination of data, parity, and stop bits at data rates up to 115.2Kbps. Contact factory for faster speed enhancements.

• Fast auto turn-around, from transmit to receive mode, requires no software delays and eliminates timing problems and data collisions.

• Efficient onboard polarity protected power regulator accepts supply voltages from 9 to 35 VDC, at 2.5 Watts max.

• Jumpers allow the RS485 bias termination resistors, the RS485 Rx and Tx enables, and the RS232 DTE/DCE mode to be user configured. The 5 isolated RS485 ports can be reconfigured as independent repeaters of 2 to 4 ports.

• The user connections are RJ11/12 (RS232), 3 pin removable terminal strips(RS485), and 2 pin terminal strip/2.1 mm barrel connector.

• The RS232 converter port provides an interface to a computer or host controller. When used as a converter this port transmits and receives serial data through all the isolated RS485 ports

• Six (6) easy mount through hole standoffs, which accept #6 hardware, are provided on the circuit board.
