SSAC44L-B9FSPS - RS232 to RS422 Bidirectional Converter with LED indicators w/ 12V Power Supply & DB9F Adapter w/ 7ft. Cable in Boxed Enclosure. 

The SS (super simple) series of Converters have a minimum number of configuration jumpers and, in general, will allow RS485/RS422 connections using Category-5 cable. Some models can even supply power to a remote converter over the Cat-5 cable. These units should NOT be connected to the Ethernet.

The SSAC44L can convert RS232 to RS485/RS422(4-wire). This unit does not have an Automatic Transmit Enable circuit; however, it does have LED indicators for Transmitt, Receive and Power. The operating temperature range is -40C to +85C.
